If you had to count, how many acts of kindness does your family do in a day? Do you often find yourself too busy to pay much attention to acts of kindness?
During April, we are making the time. We will raise kindness along with completing our largest student-led fundraiser of the year. Remember, all funds raised are used for experiential learning. See the Experiential Learning page for a list of learning experiences your students get to do each year at Aldo!
We have options for EVERY kind of fundraiser. Everyone can contribute something!
STUDENTS:
Fill out and color the KIND coloring page
Return it to the office by April 17
The pages will be displayed in the hallway and entered to win a prize!
ADULTS:
Help your student with ideas
Consider adding $5.00 as a donation (no donation necessary for prize entry)
Collecting used gym shoes April 7th - 17th
Did you know that an estimated 600 million pairs of shoes end up in America's landfills each year? The organization called Got Sneakers? collects previously worn athletic shoes, diverting thousands of pairs of sneakers each year! The organization is offering to donate money to Aldo based on the sneakers we donate: we get money toward experiential learning WHILE practicing conservation!
Got Sneakers' Rules for donations:
Must be athletic shoes (running, basketball, gym, rubber cleats, hiking shoes, etc.)
Will also accept Converse and Vans
Sneakers should be in pairs and include the laces
EXCELLENT Condition: New, name-brand sneakers, only rarely worn indoors - $7.00
GOOD Condition: Nearly new, name brand sneakers - $2.00
FAIR condition: Well-loved but still wearable sneakers with no holes - $1.00
RECYCLABLE: Well-worn and holey sneakers - $0 (but they will recycle them!)

Raise Craze is an online platform enabling participants to set up secure, custom websites
where they request donations via email, text, and social.
During the fundraiser, participants pay it forward by completing Acts of Kindness for
others...a great way to learn the value of gratitude. Spend time serving, not selling!
Set up your online account at my.raisecraze.com/AVKYP9HG anytime after April 1.
Think of some acts of kindness you can do - there are lots of examples available in your account, or you can think of your own!
Call, email, text, or post on social media to your friends & family to ask for donations for your acts of kindness. They can donate right on the website with your link.
ADULTS:
Help your student set up their online account at my.raisecraze.com/AVKYP9HG - enter your own email and birth month/year to create the account. Don't worry, Raise Craze doesn't share email lists or use them for marketing.
Help your student reach out to family and friends to ask for sponsorships
STUDENTS:
April 14, 15, & 16, purchase paper flowers for $1.00 each (cash only)
Decorate your flowers with compliments, pictures, designs - whatever you want!
Give the flower to someone special - may we recommend and Aldo staff member?
If we reach our goal of $250, each student will receive a real flower on Thursday, April 17!
ADULTS:
Donate $1.00 to your student (perhaps in return for an act of kindness?)
Help your student execute their writing if they need it!
ADULTS Donate $20.00 per student to opt out of participation!
