ALAPTO considers community to be among the most important resource we can have! Yes, we do a lot of fundraising, but we also do FUNraising - community events with no emphasis on money.
Yearly Events
Back to School Pool Party
Generally held in late August at Joanne's Aquatic Center, this is a fun get together for Aldo families new and old.
Fall Fest
Our annual fall party, held the last week of October. Each year is a little different, but costumes are welcome, and games, activities, a haunted house, and dancing are always involved!
...On the Playground Series
Periodic after-school playground mini-parties - ALAPTO provides a seasonal refreshment while kids play and adults get to chat.
Sledding
A weekend sledding date at a nearby hill for Aldo families. We provide hot drinks, nature provides the fun!
Family Game Night
Families are invited to play board games and gym games at Aldo.
ALAPTO Town Hall and Chili Cook-off
Our annual town hall meeting, including a chili cook-off, middle-grade kids entertaining the smaller kids while the adults discuss the vision of ALAPTO and Aldo Leopold.
Movie Night
A movie screening especially for Aldo families.
Legacy Day
Held the first Saturday of June, in celebration of the legacy of the students that came before us, and the students that will come after. Often in concert with Aldo's Sting Cancer 5K, this event features many school club and community booths, food for purchase, entertainment, and more.
