From 3 - 9 PM, $1 of every pint, flight, or to-go beer purchased is donated to ALAPTO.
Make a fun evening of it and join in a game of Magic: The Gathering starting at 6:00 pm or grab some friends and hang out before the mad holiday rush begins.

Luna Coffee makes a great gift for friends and family; a portion of coffee order sales is donated to Aldo.

  • Come meet with us and get answers to question, hear from alumni who have sent their kids to Aldo, and eat chili!

Book Fair

Our online book fair is open now on our Literati website!

  • Purchase a gift card for your student so they can shop in person, or just order some books online!

Our in person book fair: Find us in the library!

  • Monday, Jan 22, special non-school hours from 2-4PM

  • Tuesday, Jan 22 through Friday, Jan 26, after school hours from 2:50 - 4PM

  • Thursday, Jan 25, the book fair will also be open at Literacy Night, from 5-6:30PM

  • Friday, Jan 26, from 8-10AM

Literacy Night
  • Literacy Night will be the 25th, 5:00 - 6:30 PM

  • Shop the book fair and build your home library

  • Bring up to three gently used books for the book swap!

  • Eat a slice of Happy Joe's pizza

  • 4k/K will be doing reading activities and sharing All About Me books

  • 1-2 will be doing Camp Read S'more

  • 3-4 will be doing country research and sharing their projects, spelling, and games

  • 5th will be doing the Word Winder

  • Middle Schoolers will be doing a poetry walk

A fun night of games with friends and family. There will be a variety of strategy games, board games, interactive games for all ages and lots of people to play with.

Time: doors open at 4:20, movie starts at 4:50

Cost: $3/ticket

 

20% of popcorn and concessions sales will benefit ALAPTO. Tickets go on sale March 11. We’ll have people selling them at pick-up after school. We’ll also sell them at the science fair. Cash or check made out to ALAPTO.

Trivia Night

An evening for Aldo grownups to get together and have some fun. We will gather at The Depot at 6:00 PM for a night of trivia, hosted by Comedy City.

Time: 5:30-9:00 (check-in/registration starts at 5:30; trivia starts at 6:30)

Location: The Depot (200 Dousman St)

Comedy City will be our trivia emcees.

Space is limited. Tickets go on sale March 18.

Chill out with some refreshing conversation and a cool lemonade while kids play. Free lemonade provided by ALAPTO.

Exploratory Week

Teachers and parents create hands-on activities that encourage students to interact with the community and nature beyond the classroom; these will take place each afternoon during school hours. Past activities have included fishing, building birdhouses, gardening, and more.

Sting Cancer Family Fun 5K Registration Deadline

Order T-shirts by May 1 to pick up the day of the race.

Registration and payments will also be accepted on the day of the 5K.

Sting Cancer Family Fun 5K

At Aldo - the raffle is at 9 AM; 5K starts at 9:30 AM

Registration and payment will be available up until the start of the walk. Checks should be payable to ALAPTO.

In 2004, Preble High School faculty member Nick Nesvacil and a small group of students and staff started STINGCANCER to raise cancer awareness and to help those affected by cancer. In June of 2016, Aldo Leopold school became the 20th chapter of STINGCANCER, to support our own Aldo families being affected by cancer.

Legacy Day

At Aldo - 11 AM - 2 PM. Join us for this annual tradition after the Family Fun 5K!

 

Legacy Day highlights the Aldo community’s talents and passions. WE are the legacy of this wonderful community. We will have a range of activities and interests represented with an emphasis on the environment, creating community, and a love of lifelong learning. There is no cost to enter, but there are opportunities to purchase food, merchandise, and participate in some fundraising activities.

- SimCity booths - slime, face painting, balloon animals

- Aldo Clubs - GSA, Student Council (still finalizing) 

- Musical performances from students 

- Community booths - still finalizing these, so I don’t want to list them yet

- Food - brat fry, student bake sale

- Dunk Tank
